South Australian Murray Mallee Police have detected 12 drivers committing traffic offences over the weekend including:
On Friday 10 May, Berri police stopped a Ford Ranger on Renmark Avenue Renmark. The driver, a 52-year-old man from Kingston on Murray was breath tested and returned a result of 0.142, he was reported for drink driving, issued a 6-month loss of licence and his vehicle was impounded. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
On Friday 10 May, Berri police stopped a motorcycle on Sims Parade Renmark, checks revealed that the motorcycle was unregistered and uninsured and the rider was driving whilst suspended. The rider a 46-year-old Renmark man was reported for driving unregistered and uninsured, driving suspended and his motorcycle was impounded. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
On Friday 10 May, Murray Mallee Highway patrols stopped a white Ford sedan on Cowra Street Renmark. The driver, a 44-year-old man from Monash was drug tested and returned a positive result. He was issued with a 3-month loss of licence, his sample will be sent to Forensic Science SA for further analysis.
On Saturday 11 May, Murray Mallee Highway patrols stopped a white utility on the Goyder highway Renmark. The driver, a 50-year-old Renmark man was drug tested and allegedly returned a positive result, his sample will be sent to Forensic Science SA for further analysis. He was issued with a 3-month loss of licence.
On Saturday 11 May, Murray Malley Highway patrols stopped a Maroon Toyota on the Old Sturt Highway Renmark. The driver, a 27-year-old man from Renmark was drug tested and returned a positive result. The driver was issued a 3-month loss of licence and his sample will be sent to Forensic Science SA for further analysis.
On Saturday 11 May, police received reports of a white utility doing burnouts on Gratwick Road, Loxton. Police located the vehicle and had a conversation with the driver who refused to answer questions, further checks revealed the vehicle was unregistered. The driver, a 34-year-old woman from Loxton was reported for failing to answer questions and received an expiation notice for driving an unregistered vehicle. She will be summonsed to attend court at a later date.
On Sunday 12 May, Murray Mallee police stopped a white Mitsubishi on Belar Street Renmark. The driver, a 22-year-old Renmark man was drug tested and returned a positive result, checks revealed he was disqualified from driving. He was reported for driving whilst disqualified and issued a 3 month loss of licence. His sample will be sent to Forensic Science SA for further analysis. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
On Sunday 12 May, Murray Mallee highway police stopped a white Toyota on Derrick Street Berri. The driver, a 46-year-old Monash man was drug tested and returned a positive result. He was issued a 3 month loss of licence and his sample will be sent to Forensic Science SA for further analysis.
