Riverland police continue to pick up drivers doing the wrong thing

On Friday police stopped a white Holden sedan on Stratman Road, Monash and spoke with the driver.

Checks revealed the man was driving without a licence.

The driver, a 36-year-old Monash man was reported for driving without a licence and will appear in the Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.

Also on Friday Barmera police stopped a white Toyota utility on Nookamka Terrace and submitted the driver to a breath test where he returned a positive reading of 0.162.

The driver, a 60-year-old man from Barmera, was reported for drink driving, issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence and his vehicle was impounded.

He will be summonsed to attend court at a later date.

And on Saturday Renmark police stopped a silver Toyota utility on Fifteenth Street at Renmark and submitted the driver to a breath test, which returned a positive result of 0.081.

The driver, a 48-year old man from Queensland was reported for drink driving and issued a 6-month instant loss of licence.

He will be summonsed to attend the Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.
