Four drivers will front court after committing traffic offences in the Riverland region over the weekend.
About 1.30am on Friday 9 January, Berri Police reported a 36-year-old man from Modbury North for drink driving after he was stopped in an Isuzu ute on Renmark Avenue, Renmark.
When breath tested, he allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.110.
He was also issued with a six-month instant loss of licence and will be summonsed to appear in Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.
Loxton Police reported a 52-year-old Riverland man for drink driving after he was stopped about 3:00pm on Friday. The driver of the Ford sedan was stopped on the Karoonda Highway, Alawoona and submitted to a roadside drug test. He allegedly returned a positive result to cannabis.
He was issued with a three-month instant loss of licence and may face drug driving charges be pending the result of a forensic analysis.
About 9.50am on Saturday 10 January, Berri Police have arrested a 59-year-old man from Renmark for driving while disqualified. The man was observed driving a Toyota 4WD on Grevillea Street, Renmark and was spoken to shortly after at his home address.
He was charged and his vehicle was impounded for 28 days. He was bailed to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court on 16 March.
Loxton Police have reported a 48-year-old man from Victoria after he was stopped in a Holden sedan on Bookpurnong Terrace about 6:00pm on Saturday.
He was submitted to a drug test and allegedly returned a positive result to methamphetamine.
The man was issued with a three-month loss of licence and may be summonsed to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court for drug driving pending results of a forensic analysis.
