There was a race against the clock to have 7km of flood-affected path rebuilt in time for Sunday’s Mildura Riverfront Marathon here in Sunraysia, and the race has been run and won.

The Mildura Rural City Council hard-working crews hit the finish line this week on the new path from Jaycee Park all the way to 3MA corner, where the River 1467 transmitter is located, and includes 3000 tonne of blue stone crusher dust, which equates to 56 b-double loads.

The Mildura Riverfront Marathon has attracted capacity fields, and will showcase the awesome local riverfront trail network.
