Mildura Rural City Council will go ahead with plans to move the site of its new riverfront adventure playground.
Councillors confirmed last week the project will move from Nowingi Place to Jaycee Park after councillors unanimously supported the idea on their Thursday night meeting.
The move comes as insurance coverage for the originally planned site had dropped by about 90 per cent following last summer’s flood event.

Mildura Rural City Council moved to change the site of the playground to a higher ground location.
Nowingi Place was underwater for two months last summer but Jaycee Park remained dry as it is above the 1956 flood level.
Council also looks to develop a more conventional playground and other fixtures at Nowingi Place.
