Murray Mallee police have reported nine drivers for traffic offences over the weekend, including in the Riverland:
About 5:00pm on Friday Highway Patrol reported a 17-year-old boy from Renmark for drug driving. It will be alleged that Police stopped him driving a vehicle on Ral Ral Avenue, Renmark, when he returned a positive result for illicit drugs. He received a three-month instant loss of licence and may be summonsed to appear in Berri Magistrates Court pending results of a forensic analysis.
Also on Friday Highway Patrol stopped a car on Renmark Avenue at Renmark for a random driver test. The driver, 49-year-old woman from Barmera, returned a positive result for illicit drugs. She received a three-month instant loss of licence and may be summonsed to appear in Berri Magistrates Court pending results of a forensic analysis.
On Sunday at Monash, Renmark Police stopped a Subaru station wagon on Sturt Highway, the 48-year-old-man driving was reported for driving unlicensed and contravening a driver direction notice.
