Reminder to recycle e-waste

Mildura Rural City Council says Australians will throw away up to 400 million electronic items (e-waste), despite electronic items being banned from landfills in the state of Victoria since 2019.

Almost 90% of the components in e-waste can be recycled – reducing the environmental impacts from Lead and Mercury, while lowering the cost of future electronics by recovering and reusing rare materials.

So what’s e-waste?

If it has a plug, battery, circuit board or wiring, it’s e-waste.

E-waste can be responsibly recycled at the Mildura Landfill, for a small fee (based on item size).
