A host of local leaders have reacted to the resignation of Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews, announced yesterday.
Nationals Member for Mildura Jade Benham says the announcement was expected, albeit earlier than she thought.
Former Independent MP Ali Cupper has also chimed in, telling the Sunraysia Daily while he was a successful politician, she didn’t always like the way he treated people.
Member for Mallee Anne Webster MP says she isn’t surprised by the announcement.
Daniel Andrews’ peers are offering their praise as the Victorian premier draws the curtain on his political career.
Former NSW Liberal premier Dominic Perrottet says they worked closely together despite being from different political backgrounds.
His Labor successor, Chris Minns and Queensland premier Anastasia Palaszczuk also sending their congratulations.
