Wentworth Shire Council have given public notice that they propose to close a section of the council public road (Potters Drive).
Upon the closure of a portion of Potters Drive, Council intends to dispose of the surplus land, reducing the road reserve approaching the Gol Gol Creek.
All interested persons are invited to make submissions concerning the proposal to the General Manager, Wentworth Shire Council, PO Box 81, Wentworth NSW 2648 or by email to council@wentworth.nsw.gov.au within twenty-eight (28) days of the date of the first time the publicly advised the proposal (10 October 2026).
Under the provisions of the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009, such submissions may be referred to third parties for consideration.
Once the submission period is completed by 13 November 2026, the Wentworth Shire Council will formally consider all duly made submissions before deciding whether to continue with the road closure proposal.
