Cafes north of the Murray could soon be forced to accept reusable cups in an effort to minimise waste in the state.
The NSW Government is meeting today to discuss ways to cut back on the amount of plastic going to landfill, in a move that could impact businesses around Balranald, Wentworth and Broken Hill council areas.
The plan includes bans on the release of helium balloons, plastic sticks for lollipops and plastic ties on bread bags.
