Police are investigating following a fatal crash in Birdwoodton Saturday morning.
It’s understood a car crashed into a tree and subsequently caught fire on Seventeenth Street about 5am.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigations are ongoing.
