Local police are asking residents if they are hopping out of town for the long weekend, before you leap into the car, take a final lap around the house to check it is secure.
They have released some tips to make sure you’re keeping your property safe:
Lock all doors, gates, garages and windows.
Don’t hide your keys outside (that fake rock is so obvious).
Send any expected parcels to an Australia Post parcel locker.
and
Bring the bins in before you leave.
