A man has lost his licence for a year after he was caught drink-driving in Renmark.
It will be alleged that about 12.50am yesterday (Monday 2 October), police stopped a Ford Ranger on Seventeenth Street and the driver underwent a breath test.
He returned a positive reading of 0.183.
A 20-year-old local man was reported for drink-driving, he was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice and his car was impounded for 28 days.
He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
As the long weekend draws to a close, police will be on the roads monitoring driver behaviour, conducting driver testing and targeting dangerous driving.
