31 local not-for-profit organisations, clubs and community groups have shared in $225,879 in funding through the latest round of Mildura Council’s Community Grants Program.
Among recipients is the Cowangie Cemetery Trust, which will use its $6,000 grant to help purchase a new ride-on lawn mower for volunteers to maintain the cemetery grounds (pictured).
Other grants range from $1,800 to $10,000 and will support cultural events, environmental sustainability initiatives, social inclusion, the arts and community-based projects.
