Today’s Extreme Fire Danger rating means Mildura Rural City Council is unable to undertake kerbside collections at Ouyen and along the Mallee Track due to the risk of fire.
If you live in Ouyen and along the Mallee Track and your bins are normally collected today, Council is advising they will now be collected on Wednesday, meaning you’ll need to leave your bins out tomorrow (Tuesday) night.
Today’s Extreme Fire Danger rating has also forced the closure of the Ouyen Landfill.

Council has taken to social media to apologise for the inconvenience, however have pointed out that public safety remains their first priority.
