Residents across Sunraysia are this Thursday (10 September) being encouraged to walk in memory of those lost to suicide and help raise funds to support Lifeline.
The Out of the Shadows Walk coincides with World Suicide Prevention Day, with participants walking nine kilometres in recognition of the nine Australians who die by suicide each day.
Funds raised throughout the day will go towards Lifeline’s crisis support and suicide prevention services.
Participants can dedicate their walk to a loved one, walk in solidarity with others, or take part to offer connection, spread hope and help ensure no one faces their toughest moments alone.
Participants do not need a personal connection to suicide and can also set their own walking distance, choosing a target that feels meaningful and achievable for their circumstances.

The Sunraysia Community Walk will be held this Thursday 10 September, 10:00am to 5:00pm at Garden of HOPE.
If you, or someone you know are feeling overwhelmed, we encourage you to connect with Lifeline in the way you feel most comfortable.
You can phone Lifeline to speak to a Crisis Supporter on 13 11 14, text 0477 131 114, or chat to Lifeline online (all services are available 24/7).
