Regional Cities Victoria has welcomed the Victorian Government’s newly announced Housing Statement, but has urged the state to listen to local communities moving forward.
The organisation which takes in ten of Victoria’s largest regional communities, including Mildura, says the take-over of major housing developments worth more than $15 million must come with a commitment to listen to local communities.
Daniel Andrews made the commitment earlier this week to build over 150 thousand regional homes in the next decade.
