Mildura Police are pleading with drivers to be careful over the long weekend.
Theyr’e taking part in Operation Arid, which focuses on road safety with particular attention on Rural and Regional roads.
Local officers say March is historically the highest-risk month on the roads, with crashes peaking during the month in the last five years.

Offences including drink and drug driving and speeding will be targeted over the next four days.
