Round Three of the Australian Solo Championship will be held at Olympic Park Speedway tonight, with some changes due to today’s heat.
As a consequence of the heat, the regular Mildura “Heat Policy” for junior riders will see them miss out on a ride on title night and the club has also changed the schedule to allow for a kinder start to the night for patrons as well.
All gates will now open at 5:00pm, with tickets available at the gate.
Patrons are encouraged not to line up too early as there is plenty of free grandstand accommodation available as well as plenty of grassy banks available where you may put your chair or family rug for your comfort.
Sign on for competitors and Scrutineering will now be between 5:00 and 6:00pm.
Riders Briefing will be from 6:30pm, with Practice available from 7:00pm.
The Rider Introduction and Parade will commence at 8:00pm
Racing set to commence at 8:30 pm.
As with all title events there will be no Dash For Cash ahead of the title program.
This schedule will be better for our patrons’ comfort and will avoid the possible need to have a “sun break”, should the day be cloudless with the sun being a possible problem in turn one.
Next meeting at Olympic Park after this title meeting will be the conduct of the Jason Lyons Solo Trophy on Saturday 17th January, with an excellent international list of riders, including all of those who rode in the recent Phil Crump meeting.
