The NSW Government has launched the NSW Veterans Strategy 2025–2030, which sets out a whole-of-government approach to support the wellbeing of veterans and their families and acknowledge their vital contribution to NSW.
The new Strategy incorporates learnings from the inaugural Veterans Strategy 2021-2024, engagement with the veteran community, and recommendations of the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide.
Its suite of programs and initiatives aim to ease transition into civilian life and honour service for veterans and their families
It is a framed around four themes:
- Recognition and Commemoration
- Employment and Training
- Advocacy and Community Engagement
- Support
