NSW Local Government elections in two weeks

The NSW Local Government elections are on Saturday, 14 September 2024.

  • Enrolling and voting is compulsory if you are 18 years and over. Remember to check if your enrolment is up to date.
  • To vote in person on Election Day, visit a polling place between 8am and 6pm on Saturday, 14 September 2024.
  • If you are unable to make it to a polling place on Election Day there are options for postal or early voting.

Postal vote applications are now open for the 2024 NSW Local Government elections.

Apply online or download an application form at www.elections.nsw.gov.au

Applications for Postal Votes close at 5pm Monday, 9 September 2024.

In addition to postal voting, eligible voters can vote in person one week before Election Day from Saturday, 7 September to Friday, 13 September (excluding Sunday, 8 September) at prepoll venues.

Pre-poll or Early Voting

Pre-poll or Early Voting for Wentworth is available at the Wentworth Town Hall. 24 Adelaide Street Wentworth.

Pre-poll hours are as follows:

  • Saturday 7 September 9:00am – 6:00pm
  • Monday 9 September 8:30am – 5:30pm
  • Tuesday 10 September 8:30am – 5:30pm
  • Wednesday 11 September 8:30am – 5:30pm
  • Thursday 12 September 8:30am – 8:00pm
  • Friday 13 September 8:30am – 6:00pm
