Comments have hit Facebook about the new tourism campaign promoting Mildura has a holiday destination.
The video promotes Mildura as having more sun than the Sunshine Coast, and highlights the fact that in the Murray River you don’t have to worry about crocs, no sharks, just great bites.
The tongue-in-cheek campaign was launched last night with actor Shane Jacobson featuring as the Ambassador for Mildura – The Capital of Tropical North Victoria.
Jacobson was recently voted Australia’s most likeable celebrity by the Australian Talent Index.
Mildura Rural City Council Mayor, Cr Liam Wood said “This is also our chance to enter into some friendly rivalry with our Queensland counterparts, who we have a great working relationship with.”
The launch also featured other announcements around tourism in the area including details about the upcoming Trail of Lights and Fibre Optic Symphonic Orchestra by artist Bruce Munro and the launch of https://mildura.com/
