Police across the region are again calling on drivers to make safer choices on the roads, as new research suggests an alarming number of us continue to break the road rules.
The top three risks identified by the Australian Road Safety Foundation survey, indicate that drivers admit to breaking speed laws (48%), driving fatigued (32%) and using a mobile phone behind the wheel (27%).
Russell White from the Australian Road Safety Foundation is urging local drivers to take personal responsibility and help turn things around.
The ARSF is today launching their annual Fatality Free Friday initiative.
