The first stage of a new Sikh Temple in Mildura is expected to be completed in four months.
Work will start shortly on the first part of the two–stage project, which will include a prayer hall and washrooms.
Donations have come in from across the country and New Zealand for the project.

There are more than 150 Sikh families in the region.
The local Sikh community provides help, food and shelter for those in need.
When works are complete the doors will be open to the entire community, 24 hours a day.
