Mildura Rural City Council has officially opened a purpose built animal isolation facility, strengthening the ability to provide high quality care for lost and impounded animals across our municipality.
An isolation facility plays a critical role in protecting animal health. It allows sick or symptomatic animals to be physically separated from the general population, reducing the risk of disease transmission.
The opening of the facility comes as Mildura records a seven per cent increase in pet registrations, driven by Council’s free first‑year registration program, which will continue this year.
