Big challenges await the new boss of the Victorian Farmers Federation.
Charlie Thomas is taking over the role at the top of the organisation as it continues to battle against drought conditions and the ongoing battle with the Victorian State Government over the Emergency Services and Volunteer Fund.
Thomas joins the organisation having been the deputy CEO of the National Farmers Federation, with prior roles in the Property Council of Australia and the NSW Farmers Association.
