A Mildura-born politician is now the leader of the Victorian Greens Party.
Ellen Sandell, who went to St Joseph’s College, won the party room vote yesterday for the top role.
She takes over from Samantha Ratnam, who’s stepped down to run for a federal seat in next year’s poll.

The 39-year-old says she’ll centre on shifting government focus to the climate and cost of living crisis.
She says she’ll also be fighting to make unlimited rent increases illegal.
