New climate insights into Margooya Lagoon

A study led by Tati Tati Kaiejin, in collaboration with the Murray-Darling Basin Authority has provided new insights into climate-related risks at Margooya Lagoon at Tol Tol, just out of Robinvale.

The Tati Tati Cultural Water Futures Project used generational cultural knowledge, and hydrological analysis, to deepen understandings on overflow banks and river regulation.

It’s hoped that this much needed information on climate change will allow the Lagoon to continue providing for the cultural economic wellbeing of the Tati Tati people.
