Wentworth Shire Council has received almost 150-thousand dollars in NSW government cash to help roll out green-lidded bins.
The money is coming from the Go FOGO Program, with almost three thousand homes to receive the new or upgraded service.
The NSW Government says almost half of all councils in the state are now driving food waste change.

No word yet on when the bins will arrive or the service will start.
