Locals will soon be receiving a purple-lidded bin for glass, if it hasn’t already arrived.
The rollout of the 120 litre bins is getting underway this month before the new kerbside services starts in Mildura in July.
Mildura Rural City Council says it’s aimed at improving the quality of recycling, ensuring glass materials can be turned into new products.

Former Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews announced plans for a fourth bin, Victoria-wide, to join the existing yellow, red and green ones and the Victorian Container Deposit Scheme in February 2020.
Residents are being encouraged to head to the council website or call the city for more information.
