The Breakthrough T1D One Walk Mildura was held on Sunday March 29.
Although the event had to be postponed from earlier in the month due to inclement weather, the event drew over 150 walkers and raised over $14,500 for T1D research.
Breakthrough T1D’s One Walk is the world’s largest fundraising event for families living with Type One Diabetes.
Funds raised go towards supporting the brightest researchers to help advance treatments, influence policy and improve access to care for those who need it, while supporting the type 1 diabetes (T1D) community at every step.
The community on the day got to enjoy some fabulous face painting, laser tag, pony rides, large family lawn games as well as the food vendors Ziggy’s, Scoops Ice-cream, OG Acai and a sausage sizzle operated by the Lions Club.
T1D One Walk Mildura are still fundraising until 30 June, and if you wish to support them and help them reach the goal of $20,000 you can donate at https://walk.breakthrought1d.org.au/event/view/walk-mildura-26
