An advice has been issued by the CFA as follows:
Advice – Bushfire – Stay Informed
This Advice message is being issued for Murray-Sunset.
• There is a bushfire at West Settlement Rd, Murray-Sunset that is not yet under control.
• The bushfire is travelling from West Settlement Rd, Murray-Sunset in a southerly direction through the Murray-Sunset National Park.
• Rain is passing through the area.
There is currently no threat to you, but you should stay informed and plan for what you will do if the situation changes.
What you should do:
• Monitor weather conditions and warnings.
• Review your fire survival plan.
• If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes.
Impacts in your area:
• Firefighters are responding to this fire.
There is also a bushfire 21Km South South West Of Morkalla.
The current status: Not Yet Under Control.
The size of that fire is being reported as 300.00 Ha.
A bushfire has also been reported at Bulbuc Firetrail, Mallee 2738.
A fire has started however there is reportedly no immediate danger.
The Current status: Out Of Control.
And there is a grass fire been reported at 362 Lockhart Rd, Tooleybuc 2736.
The current status of that fire: Under Control
Meanwhile, fire crews in South Australia’s Riverland have also been working to put out a grass fire that broke out yesterday afternoon.
Up to 20 CFS firefighters and six trucks were supported by locals who brought the incident under control in Taylorville, stopping the flames spreading to nearby homes and farm sheds.
The cause of that fire is being investigated.
