Mildura Rural City Council say that their Recreation Grants help local groups undertake projects that encourage leisure initiatives, increase participation in sport and recreation, or increase access to a diverse range of quality sporting and recreation facilities and programs.
Funding is available across four streams:
Club Support Grant: Up to $2,000 available
Recreation Planning Grant: Up to $19,000 available
Minor Facility Upgrade Grant: Up to $20,000 available
Major Facility Upgrade Grant: Between $20,000 and $50,000 available
Funding is provided of a $2 for $1 ratio, with Council to contribute $2 for event $1 being put forward by the applicant.
Club Support Grant applicants applying for projects that address Gender Equity will be exempt from meeting the 2:1 funding ratio.
