Speedway fans from all around Australia will join the Monson family and members of the Full Noise Racing Team to pay tribute to the life of former dual World Speedway Sidecar Champion, FIM Oceania Sidecar Champion and nine times, Victorian Sidecar Champion Warren “Wazza” Monson at Mildura’s Olympic Park Speedway this Saturday night.
A massive field has been gathered with many great rivals coming together to pay tribute to the Champion.
Riders include fellow World Champions, Darrin Treloar / Blake Cox and Mick Headland / Brenton Kerr, and three times and current Australian Champions, Mark Plaisted / Ben Pitt who, whilst great rivals, were strong friends off the track.
A solemn Tribute for Warren will commence, pre-meeting at 6:30pm, on the infield of Olympic Park.
The tribute will include family and Full Noise Racing Team members, meeting dignatories, including representatives of the Charities who are to be beneficiaries of any profit from the Monson Memorial meeting and also specific sponsors of the Memorial meeting.
Olympic Park gates will open for Spectators at 4:00pm.
Practice for some visiting riders will be from 5:30 until 6:00pm.
Warren Monson Tribute and Rider Parade will commence at 6:30pm.
Dash for Cash will begin at 6:50pm
Race start is at 7:00pm – Warren Monson Memorial.
