A celebration of nurses and midwives is being held at La Trobe Uni’s Mildura campus today.
It’s on this morning, with a panel of nurses and midwives talking about their career journeys including Professor Helen McLachlan who will share her research into closing the gap in maternity care for First Nations mothers.
Meanwhile, locals considering a career in the building industry will be able to access free courses at Mildura’s SuniTAFE after next week’s Federal Budget is handed down.
The Mildura institute will share in an extra ninety-million dollars that’ll pay for twenty-thousand FREE construction industry courses and pre-apprenticeship programs.
It’s part of a Government push to build more than one-million new homes this decade.
