Merbein joins Heart Safe Community Program

Merbein is one area to take on the Heart Safe Community Program over the next year.

Ambulance Victoria says the program aims at improving survival rates for cardiac arrest, working with towns and residents to raise awareness on how to perform CPR and use a defibrillator.

This month is also Shocktober, highlighting the importance of CPR with around 21 Victorians having a cardiac arrest each day, but only one in ten survive.
