Dried Fruit Australia will host a field walk this week to showcase the latest updates to a mechanical winter pruning unit.
The event will be held at Stephen Bennett’s Merbein property at 209 Cowanna Avenue.
Stephen has been working on the mechanical winter pruning unit, which was initially developed as part of a project between DFA, La Trobe University and the Mallee Regional Innovation Centre.

The robotic pruning system aims to significantly reduce labour and costs associated with the task of pruning.
The field walk will be held from 10:00am this Thursday, 29 August.
A morning tea will be provided.
