A Melbourne man has been remembered as a generous person following his death in the Southern 80 race on the Murray.
The event was cancelled following Luke Wentworth’s death in a skiing accident at Echuca yesterday morning.
New South Wales police are investigating, while organisers are also reviewing the incident.

It comes as the Mildura 100 is due to be held on the last weekend of March.
The weekend’s fatality is the seventh death during the race since 1987.
