Man banned from returning to Mildura after thefts and attempted thefts

A man has been banned from returning to Mildura as part of strict bail conditions for a series of thefts and attempted thefts.

The man facing the Mildura Magistrates Court over incidents in April, which included the man entering into a home via an open screen door, only to wake the occupant with his torch, resulting in him being chased from the property.

He later returned, attempted to steal a car with a set of keys he had already taken, and then tried to break into two cars at different properties, stealing cash, bank cards and ID cards.

The man was sentenced to 62 days reckoned as time served, and bailed to an address near Ballarat, with the magistrate banning him from returning to Mildura.
