A man has avoided jail for starting a fire in a toaster at a house in Mildura.
The man, who the court heard suffered from anxiety, depression, ADHD and autism, was living in supported accommodation in February when he put cutlery in a microwave and turned it on, before putting a sheet of paper in a toaster and turning it on.
It started a fire and caused more than 40 thousand in damage…according to the Sunraysia Daily.

His counsel said he felt bad and tried to find a fire extinguisher but could not locate one.
He was put on a two year good behaviour bond.
