Locals warned to be on alert for scammers

Sunraysia locals are being urged to look out for impersonation scams.

Police have already warned of fake tradies doing the rounds in areas such as Robinvale and Nyah.

Now the Victorian Government is warning of impersonation scams so locals don’t have over hard-earned money to fraudsters.

The scammers pretend to be a government agency, bank or community group.

Locals who are approached are being urged to report it, and those who fall victim are being reassured it’s not their fault.
