Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a fatal crash in Woosang, between Charlton and Wedderburn, on Saturday morning.
A vehicle was travelling along the Calder Highway when it left the road and struck a tree, near Woosang-Yeungroon Road, shortly before 10:00am.
A 14-year-old boy, from the Mildura area, was declared deceased at the scene.
The 18-year-old driver, from Mildura, and his 14-year-old passenger, from the Mildura area, were both cut from the vehicle and airlifted to hospital in a life-threatening condition.
Investigators believe the vehicle was stolen from a Mildura address overnight Friday night.
The Calder Highway was closed for a significant amount of time while detectives travelled to the scene and investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash.
