Mildura Police Station has been identified as one of 45 drop off points for machetes ahead of a three-month amnesty to dispose of the weapons
The amnesty is set to run from September 1st when Victoria will become the first state to BAN machetes.
As of 1 September, it will be illegal to own, use, buy, sell or transport machetes.

There will be some machete-related exemptions in place.
There is currently an interim machete sales ban in place.
Secure bins are to be installed at police stations across the state.
