A local SES volunteer has been recognised for 40-years of service.
The Mildura agency has congratulated Mike Hellwege for his service, saying he’s played a pivotal role in several projects and successful grant applications.
He’s also been a key incident controller and commander for several emergencies, including storm events in the last decade.

He was named Mildura Citizen of the Year in 2015, and recognised by police in 2013 for his contributions to the community.
