Mallee Family Care has been named as one of the Victorian providers to run the state’s new Earn and Learn Traineeship program.
The State Government says it’s about building a diverse and robust mental health and wellbeing workforce, allowing workers to start in the industry while they’re completing their studies.
The local organisation is one of several providers to run a program aimed at getting mental health and wellbeing staff into the workforce.

The state says trainees will receive supervision and relevant placements during their employment period.
Funding has also been provided for educator roles to support trainees.
