Local MP says budget doesn’t contain much for locals

Mildura MP Jade Benham has slammed the Victorian budget, saying there’s not much in there for the local electorate.

She’s taken to social media saying the state’s debt is increasing to a predicted 26-MILLION dollars in interest repayments each day in three years.

More paediatric beds could be placed at Mildura Base Public Hospital, but the Mildura MP says there’s no news on 30 new emergency department beds the hospital desperately needs.

She believes regional hospital chiefs have been called to meet in Melbourne, but the hospital has told the Sunraysia Daily that Chief Terry Welch hadn’t been asked to go to the meeting.
