Federal MP Anne Webster is backing a Senate Committee Report into the impact of regional bank closures.
The report, released last week, found private banks have failed Australians in rural and regional areas.
The Member for Mallee called for a moratorium on closures in February last year, which the Commonwealth Bank accepted, while Robinvale’s Westpac branch was spared from closing in May 2023.

She’s now calling on the Labor government to ensure regional people have reasonable access to cash and financial services.
