There is a call for volunteers to join the Mildura Life Saving Club.
It’s the only outback lifesaving club in Australia, and will be running Bonze Medallion and Surf Rescue Certificates over the next few months, hoping to attract more volunteers ahead of the patrol season.
The club says it has seventeen active members, and conducted more than eight-and-a-half preventable actions last summer.
