Due to the current extreme weather forecast and to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment, Mildura Rural City Council say the Trail of Lights on Lock Island will be closed today, Thursday 8 and tomorrow, Friday 9 January.
Jessica Rabbit in Rio Vista Park will also be closed.
Council says they appreciate the community’s understanding and look forward to welcoming locals and visitors back on Saturday, 10 January.
The Summer Sound Series will also return at 6:00pm Saturday, featuring live music from Mildura Academy of Music and Performance.
Also due to extreme heat conditions this week, The Buronga Landfill will be closing early at 1.00pm today and tomorrow, as it did yesterday.
Wentworth Shire Council say if you need to visit the landfill, please ensure you get in by 12.00pm to allow staff to compact and cover the loads.
