Dog owners are being urged to ensure they can read their dog’s body language and know how to respond.
It comes as figures show there’ve been 49 dog attacks in the Mildura Rural City Council area so far this year.
The Swan Hill municipality has recorded less with 14 reported attacks.

The RSPCA says signs of a dog being uncomfortable include bared teeth, ears back and wide eyes.
